STEVE’S DINER just got new digs. Same great food and great service, but a new and better location, check out owner Steve Gundlach on the mezzanine level at Place St. Charles, right at the top of the escalator.
Steve serves an energizing breakfast Monday thru Friday from 7 until 10, followed by tasty lunch from 11 til 2pm.
The good morning wake-up includes anything from the full rooster (eggs, grits, biscuit, bacon or sausage) to NOLA’s Best breakfast biscuit. All for under $4.00. Be sure to get there early, the warm scratch biscuits don’t last long!
Steve’s Diner continues their tradition of daily specials served cafeteria style. They offer a daily plate lunch special: Monday serves up New Orleans red beans and rice, Tuesday their signature meatloaf, Wednesday the tried and true chicken fried steak, Thursday is the slow roasted beef brisket day and Friday your choice of the fresh caught fried shrimp plate and Steve’s world famous gumbo. If the daily special doesn’t tempt your palate the “everyday special” will, your choice of crisp fried catfish, baked or char-grilled chicken or a fresh veggie plate.
If you’re in the mood for a sandwich Steve offers the finest meals on sliced bread. You can build your own lunch or choose from one of Steve’s tempting creations, served with delicious homemade tortilla chips.
Steve’s salads are so fresh and always a hit. Craving seafood, try the mouth-watering “Bayou Cobb” spicy boiled or fried shrimp, crunchy bacon , fresh chopped tomato & diced hardboiled egg. Or if you desire go the Veggie Special route, this salad has lots of avocado, lots of fresh, sliced cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, red onion, and chopped romaine and your choice of any of the delicious dressings.
And if you have a sweet tooth try one of Steve’s mouth-watering desserts, like brownies or the homemade lemon squares , or how about the Sugar Free Chocolate Mousse with a graham cracker crumb crust and a sugar free whipped toping!
